What Mosaic likes to normalise
A path in expressing what our hearts already know is possible
Mosaic Village belongs to a lineage of cultural experiments that dare to step outside the inherited systems and to listen for something more deeply aligned. After 10 years of co-creation, experimentation, and learning valuable lessons about what co-living and growing actually requires, Mosaic is now entering a new chapter of committed stewardship. At its core live two essential questions:What kind of humans do we need to become for true trust, intimacy, mutual empowerment, sovereignty and collaboration to flourish?And what are we capable of when we establish systems that support us in realising this way of living?As a living practice to those questions, we've built Mosaic Village: a long-term co-living project on a beautiful piece of land in Alentejo.We are currently opening space for three more people to join the core team. The invitation
We’re opening space for three people to help steward a long-term co-living project in Portugal.
General info- We steward 20 hectares of land in the Alentejo countryside.- Multiple houses and shared spaces for living and co-creation.- Water landscape, solid infrastructure and building workshop.- Land regeneration projects and a vegetable garden.- Accommodation possibilities: houses, rooms, or own spaceship.- Nine people currently live on the land, with four core team members and three children.
The work here is emergent and evolving; all of us are involved and stepping into leadership according to our skills, passions and to the needs of the project:
Land & Infrastructure
Caring for and seeding the land, renovating and building living spaces.
Relational Field
Conflict resolution, intimacy practices, radical honesty and shared meals.
Governance
Project meetings, refining financial, legal and decision-making models.
Network & Outreach
Managing onboarding process, crowdfunding and collaboration with other projects.
Mosaic is oriented towards social, ecological, and economic sovereignty while staying open to the mystery and to radical inquiries. We invite those who know that, in our lifetime, there is little that is more necessary, alive, or meaningful than this work.
